Synopsis

Star race car Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater head overseas to compete in the World Grand Prix race. But the road to the championship becomes rocky as Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.

Critics counted it among Pixar's weaker efforts. The animation was as polished as ever and the spy-caper setup offered some fun, but the story was seen as thin and short on emotional weight. Most felt it fell below the studio's usual standard.
