Critics were largely unimpressed by this trilogy closer, finding it overstuffed with returning characters and subplots. Some action set pieces and the nostalgic reunion of the original cast got credit. The main complaint was that the dinosaurs no longer feel threatening or special. Audiences rated it far higher than critics did.
