Synopsis

Critics responded warmly to this Stephen Hawking story, crediting Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones and the film's focus on the relationship over the physics. The main reservation was a conventional biopic shape that softens both the science and the more difficult episodes of Hawking's life.
