Critics liked this look at a young Anthony Bourdain's Provincetown summer as a rough-edged, warm coming-of-age story about mentorship. Dominic Sessa's lead turn and Antonio Banderas in support were singled out. The main reservation was that it ends before Bourdain's story really gets going.
